Welcome to NubixPOS documentation. Here you'll find everything you need to get started and make the most of your point of sale system.

Initial Setup

Setting up NubixPOS takes just a few minutes. Follow these steps to get your store ready:

1. Create your account

   Sign up at nubixpos.com/register with your business email, then choose your currency in Settings.

2. Add your business details

   Enter your business name, address, and upload your logo. This information will appear on receipts and reports.

3. Set up your products

   Add your inventory manually or import via CSV. Include product name, price, cost, and initial stock quantity.

4. Check your payment options

   At checkout you can record Cash, Transfer, Card or a sale on credit to a customer.

5. Start selling!

   Open the POS screen and make your first sale. It's that simple.

Making Your First Sale

The POS screen is designed for speed. Here's how to process a sale:

1. Click "New sale" or open Point of Sale from the menu
2. Search for products by name or scan the barcode
3. Tap a product to add it to the cart
4. Adjust quantity with the + and - buttons
5. Apply discount if applicable
6. Select payment method
7. Complete sale and send receipt

Point of Sale Features

Quick Search

Use the search bar to find products instantly. Type the first few letters of a product name, and matching items appear instantly.

Barcode Scanning

Connect a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner or use your device's camera to scan products. This is perfect for retail stores with many SKUs.

Discounts

Create percentage or fixed amount discount codes under Discounts, then enter the code at checkout. Codes apply to the whole sale.

Inventory Management

Keep track of your stock levels effortlessly:

• Stock Alerts: See low stock on your dashboard and receive a daily email
• Low Stock Threshold: Set minimum quantities for each product
• Stock History: View all stock movements and adjustments
• Bulk Import: Import thousands of products via CSV
• Categories: Organize products into categories for easier management

Customer Management

Build relationships with your customers:

• Save customer contact information
• View purchase history
• Track outstanding debts and credit
• Send payment reminders on WhatsApp
• Reward customers with loyalty points

Reports & Analytics

Understand your business performance:

• Sales Dashboard: Daily revenue, transaction count, average sale value
• Top Products: See what's selling best
• Profit Analysis: Revenue minus cost of goods sold
• Staff Performance: Track sales by employee
• Hourly Trends: Identify peak business hours

Receipts

NubixPOS offers multiple ways to deliver receipts:

• WhatsApp: Send a secure receipt link (most popular in Africa)
• Print: Print to any printer your device can use, including 80mm receipt printers
• Save: Choose "Save as PDF" in the print window

Internet Connection

NubixPOS runs in your browser and saves to the cloud, so your device needs to be online to complete a sale. Items already in the cart and sales on hold are kept on the device if the page reloads.

Staff Management

• Cashier: sells, adds customers and sees their own sales
• Manager: also runs products, stock, purchases, reports, expenses and refunds
• Admin: also controls settings, staff and the subscription

Billing & Plans

Understanding your subscription:

• Free Plan: 30 products, 1 user, basic features
• Growth Plan: Unlimited products, 3 users, advanced features
• Pro Plan: Unlimited users, priority support

Change plan anytime from Subscription in the menu.
